this album took me around 2 years to make. in that 2 years, my life has shaped the outcome of the album, the inspiration for it, the way that it sounds, the samples i used, everything. most of the songs on here were either not part of the initial cut or if they did make the cut, they were drastically changed. the tone of the album has shifted a lot and i think its really cool and interesting. this is definitely the most personal and intimate album ive ever made. i deliberately kept most of it under wraps and only privately shared songs occasionally, as this album is intended to be a front to back listen

in these 2 years, ive lost a ton of people in my life. some have passed, some have left, some dont like me at all anymore, some people i miss a lot, some of the songs in this album are about these people. the overarching theme of the album is focused on the emotions i felt while working on it, feeling alone and isolated, without friends, like a bad person, like a great person, manic, in love, etc.

creatively, this album has inspired me to push the envelope for my sound design abilities, composition, and especially mix and master quality. i took a ton of samples from old video game sound effects and old-school Japanese pop and weird bits and pieces from subdued electronica that inspired me and i think the sound of the album really is unique as a result. i took to heart a lot of what i perceive to be some of the most quintessential electronic albums and their sensibilities, and i hope that this album one day permeates in that way as well. im extremely proud of this work and i hope that everyone who listens hears the grief, joy, melancholy, blood, sweat, and tears that went into making this. im sorry if this album is about you
